How do I obtain a criminal record report and other government documents?
Americans request an FBI Identity History Summary; Canadians go through the RCMP. Most residency applications also need apostilled birth and marriage certificates.
What is an apostille?
A certificate that authenticates a document's official signature so another country will accept it.
How do I get my documents apostilled?
Through the issuing authority: the Secretary of State for state documents, the US Department of State for federal ones. Our attorney in Mexico and the US can handle it for you.
What is the best Latin American country for me?
It depends on you. Visit three or four places that fit your criteria before committing; a consultation can help you pick them.
What payment options do you accept?
Credit cards, bank transfers, wires, and Bitcoin. Government fees must be paid in USD from your own or your company's bank account.
What is the difference between citizenship and residency?
Residency lets you live in a country; citizenship gives you a passport and permanent rights. Most people start with residency and convert later.
Any recommendations for learning Spanish?
Immerse yourself: Spanish TV, podcasts, and music, your phone set to Spanish, Duolingo, and one-on-one tutoring if you're serious.
